I wish I had a nickel for every web site that had this story on it, with exactly the same story told in exactly the same words. Hasn’t anyone heard of plagiarism? Do a Goodle search on Poveglia and see what I mean.
I would definatly be willing to visit the island just to see what kind of experiences I would have. I think there’s some de-bunking needed here. Not to say that I don’t believe in the supernatural…I believe in what I can see with my own eyes, but most of the time, ppl are highly influenced with preconceived notions.
i am a high priestess and have dealt in the occultfor over 50 years and spirits and ghosts are very real indeed. i have dealt with negative ones and good spirits /but some people just arent open to see and feel so its not there fault if they dont believe. but once you have the experience its forever.
Sounds like Reality TV material. Im game!!! But seriously, to just imagine the torturous activiteis that took place on Poveglia, would send chills down anyones spine. Definatly a dream of mine to visit this infamous plague island.
I visited there, posing as a native of Venice. I snuck over at night by boat and let me tell you, the remains of the dead were delicious, a bit chewy, but delicious.
Poveglia is not a joke and many many 1000’s of people died horrific deaths there. I think that anybody here that would be dumb enough to even think they would last 1 hour there any night have a serious surprise ahead . I would be willing to pay your airfare -one way- if you would spend 1 single night on that island alone.
ive been there and can promise we will never go back. i live in italy and all of us are soldiers. we stay halfway through the night before most of us kept having crazy stuff happening to us and the iron doors were slammed shut on us and we were being screamed at and stuff worst experience ever
that place looks creepy but I herd one of the doctors treating the pashients there went mad so he buchered his pashients and unixplanable he climbed a bell tower and jumped to his death.But i’v never been there but I looked it up and I bet I dont want to go there but I know a lot of facts like not even the natives will step foot on it or talk about becoase they fere of being cursed.And fishermen around poveglia will not take fish from poveglia because they also think they will be cursed.

This island was on the the reality show,”Scariest Places on Earth”. It was VERY interesting.They had the family,(Grandmother, Mother,Uncle, Niece) gather in a room, to explain where they’re at and what they are to do. ONLY equiped w/ a small camera and even a smaller light, they put “Hoods” over theire heads and directed them to different parts of the island,and in different parts of the “Hospital” (lab, doctors office, tower, The Pit). then left alone, once the hoods were off they had to figure out WHERE they were and try to figure out WHERE EVERYONE else is, by using a “Waky-Taky” that was given to them along w/ the camera. SO they had to find eachother then Gather to The Room and find out what they needed to do next. But you have to finish before sun-up to perform a “Closing/ Cleansing” ritual.
This place seems excited. I’ve read almost every single site there is out there. Most say the same. I wonder how many people have actually ventured there, and how hard it would be for me to visit. I’m an espiring paranormal investigator. I wonder if its all myth or true.
